Moscow [Russia], March 2: Two men and two women were killed and four others were injured from Russian attacks on Saturday in the Sumy region of north-eastern Ukraine, the region's military governor, Oleh Hryhorov, said on Telegram.
The four died in the communities of Yampil and Vorozhba, according to the information. The women who perished in Yampil were aged 72 and 67 and the men, who were killed in Vorozhba, were 31 and 21.
A total of 30 settlements were shelled more than 100 times over the past day, Hryhorov wrote. Civilian buildings and infrastructure were damaged.
Ukraine has been defending itself against a full-scale Russian invasion for just over four years.
